New Partner, Associate Partners and R&D Responsible at SHL architects

Ny partner, associerede partnere og R&D ansvarlig hos schmidt hammer lassen architects.

Schmidt hammer lassen architects har foretaget fire udnævnelser for at styrke nogle af arkitektvirksomhedens vigtigste strategiske områder. Arkitektvirksomhedens ambition er at skabe enestående arkitektur, hvor social ansvarlighed og holistisk bæredygtighed er en integreret del af alle projekter, samtidig med at der hele tiden er fokus på sanselighed. For at styrke denne ambition er en ny partner, to associerede partnere og en R&D ansvarlig blevet udnævnt.

Kristian Ahlmark er blevet udnævnt til partner hos schmidt hammer lassen architects. Han har været en del af kontoret i København siden det blev etableret i 2001 og har bevist sit arkitektoniske talent i en lang række markante projekter. I 2006 blev han associeret partner, og han har været primus motor på mange danske og internationale projekter. Kristian Ahlmark vil fortsætte med at arbejde internationalt og han vil derudover, som leder af kontoret i København, være ansvarlig for at udvide og udvikle schmidt hammer lassen architects’ aktiviteter i Københavns- og Øresunds-området.

Chris Hardie er blevet udnævnt til associeret partner og leder af kontoret i Asien. Han kom til schmidt hammer lassen architects’ kontor i London i 2008 og har siden været involveret i og ansvarlig for en række markante projekter. Siden november 2010 har Chris Hardie været ansvarlig for arkitektvirksomhedens aktiviteter i Kina og Asien, og han vil fortsætte med at øge aktiviteterne i Asien og udvide kontoret i Shanghai.

Rasmus Kierkegaard er blevet udnævnt til associeret partner. Han har været del af schmidt hammer lassen architects siden 2003 og har været involveret i mange af de største danske og internationale konkurrencer, arkitektvirksomheden har deltaget i. Han er leder af konceptudviklingsafdelingen og medvirker med sin baggrund og store erfaring til at implementere innovative arkitektoniske løsninger i de konkurrencer, som arkitektvirksomheden deltager i.

Torsten Sack-Nielsen er blevet udnævnt R&D ansvarlig og kommer dermed til at stå for Research & Development-afdelingen hos schmidt hammer lassen architects. Han kom til tegnestuen i 2006 og blev i 2008 udnævnt til ansvarlig for bæredygtighed. Med sin omfattende viden om bæredygtige og intelligente materialer vil Torsten Sack-Nielsen fortsætte med at sikre, at den allernyeste internationale viden er en integreret del af schmidt hammer lassen architects’ projekter.

Uddannet fra Det Kongelige Danske Kunstakademi, Kunstakademiets Arkitektskole i København i 2001. Senest har Kristian Ahlmark været involveret i de vindende konkurrenceforslag til det nye Koncert, Kongres og Hotel i Malmö og konference- og hotelprojektet Saltkrystallerne i Helsingborg.

Associeret partner, Chris Hardie, Head of Asia Office

Uddannet fra Scott Sutherland School of Architecture, Aberdeen, Scotland in 2001. Senest har Chris Hardie været involveret i Halifax Hovedbibliotek og Highlands Branch Biblioteket i Edmonton, hvilke er medvirkende til at schmidt hammer lassen architects nu også arbejder i Canada.

Associeret partner, Rasmus Kierkegaard, Head of Concept Development

Uddannet fra Arkitektskolen Aarhus i 1999.

Senest har Rasmus Kierkegaard været leder af konkurrenceforslagene til Urban Media Space i Aarhus og Schwabinger Tor Hotel-projektet i München i Tyskland.

Research & Development Responsible, Torsten Sack-Nielsen

Uddannet fra Delft University of Technology i Holland i 2003.

Senest har Torsten Sack-Nielsen arbejdet med kontorbygningen Krystallen, som netop er blevet indviet i København, og 0-energi-kontorbygningen Grøndalsvej i Aarhus.

Four new appointments have been made to support key strategic areas of schmidt hammer lassen architects. The ambition of the practice is to create outstanding architecture where social responsibility and holistic sustainability is an integrated part of all designs, while maintaining constant focus on the value of the architectural experience. To fortify this ambition a new Partner, two Associate Partners and a R&D Responsible have been appointed. Kristian Ahlmark is appointed Partner of schmidt hammer lassen architects. He has been part of the Copenhagen Office since it was founded in 2001 and has proven his architectural talent in several significant projects. He became Associate Partner in 2006 spearheading many Danish and international competitions, especially in the Asian region. Kristian Ahlmark will continue to work internationally and he will furthermore, as Head of Copenhagen Office, be responsible for expanding and developing schmidt hammer lassen architects’ business activities in the Copenhagen and Oresund area. Chris Hardie is appointed Associate Partner and Head of Asia Office. He joined the London Office of schmidt hammer lassen architects in 2008 and has been involved in and responsible for a number of significant projects. Since November 2010, Chris Hardie has been responsible for the activities carried out by the practice in China and Asia, and he will continue to increase the activities in Asia and expand the Shanghai Office. Rasmus Kierkegaard is appointed Associate Partner. He has been part of the practice since 2003, and has been involved in many of the major Danish and international competitions. Rasmus Kierkegaard is Head of Concept Development, and with his background and experience he will contribute to implementing innovative architectural solutions into the competitions done by the practice. Torsten Sack-Nielsen is appointed R&D Responsible and will be in charge of the Research & Development unit at schmidt hammer lassen architects. He joined the practice in 2006 and was appointed Sustainability Responsible in 2008.
