I-SIT by Design Concern
I-SIT er en helt ny type lænestol, hvor brugere har været med i udviklingsprocessen, herunder også seniorer og brugere med særlige behov – f.eks. på grund af rygproblemer, svage håndled, gigt osv. Resultatet er en stol, som alle sidder godt i, uanset alder, højde, drøjde og fysiske evner.
Stolen bliver produceret af Magnus Olesen og er designet af Design Concern. I-Sit ventes i handlen til efteråret.

Danish designers Design Concern and manufacturer Magnus Olesen presents the new I-SIT chair.
i-SIT is a project about user-driven innovation and methods to develop well-functioning furniture where you can sit and rest - focusing on the user.
The Design for All project will explore and test a systematic user-driven innovation process partly by involving the demands and needs of seniors and disabled and partly through cross-disciplinary work.
The goal is to implement this knowledge and create a piece of furniture - both functional and esthetic - which anticipates the future's demands to furniture. And to create a model example showing that cross-disciplinary knowledge and systematic involvement of users create better and more competitive pieces of furniture which can fulfill many needs.
The chair is fully upholstered, built up around a pressure moulded shell with slim legs of steel which give the design a both light and characteristic expression. And with a rich choice of colours, upholstery fabrics and loin pillows, it is easy to give the chair your own personal expression.
i-SIThas received the red dot design award 2010.
