Although the Japanese architect Kazujuki Okumura uses concrete in the construction of his houses, they often have a softer expression than the otherwise very hard and minimalist houses we know from other Japanese architects. This is partly because he uses wood cladding on the facades, but also because of the fact that there rarely are large unbroken pieces of facade only in concrete. The house in the pictures is a good example of this, and has a nice pop-up appearance with its box-modules, and of course lots of great light.
